Guatemala 2015 Missouri

Just a few of the supplies that we packed up to send with the students from the University of Missouri: 400 toothbrushes, 600+ toothpastes, 800 fluoride treatments, Freddie the Fish, and visual aids for the children.

Fluoride varnishes being set out in order to get ready for all of the children who would be having them placed on their teeth. Kristin Halford is a student at the University of Missouri who volunteered on this trip to Guatemala to help provide dental care to those 800+ children in need.

The University of Missouri sent students down to Guatemala from January 9th- January 15th, 2015, and had requested assistance from the Sea Star Foundation with supplying dental materials for the children of the area.

The volunteers on the mission trip were able to provide 800+ children with toothbrushes, toothpaste, educational materials on oral hygiene, as well as fluoride varnish treatments.

Please read another student from the University of Missouri, Renee Fleddermann’s blog, reflecting on her trip to Guatemala in 2015.  Thank you, Renee, for posting such a wonderful post!
